Portparol izraleskog premijera Benjamina Netanijahua Mark Regev izjavio je danas da „ko god da je izvršio napad“ na Bejrut nije napao Liban, već palestinsku militantnu grupu Hamas. „Ko god da je ovo uradio, to nije napad na libansku državu.
To nije napad na terorističku organizaciju Hezbolah. To je napad na Hamas, to je vrlo jasno“, rekao je Regev za američku televiziju MSNBC. Dodao je da je očigledno da je napad bio usmeren samo na zvaničnike Hamasa.
„U Libanu ima mnogo meta Hezbolaha, ali ko god da je izvršio ovaj napad bio je hirurški precizan i ciljao je Hamas“, rekao je Hegev. Palestinska militantna grupa Hamas potvrdila je ranije danas da je u, kako je navela, izraelskom napadu na predgrađe Bejruta ubijen njen visoki zvaničnik Saleh el Aruri. U napadu u kojem su pogođene prostorije Hamasa, stradalo je ukupno šest osoba.
Izraelska vojska zasad nije komentarisala incident. El Aruri je bio zamenik lidera Hamasa u inostranstvu i de fakto vođa Hamasovog vojnog krila na Zapadnoj obali, navode izraelski mediji.
